Went to buy B&W but the assistant recommended I try several headphones. So I tested B&W, B&o and Bose. To my total surprise the Sony's out performed them all. And came in at £200 less. . True the B&Ws were very good and lovely build quality but the Sony's were acoustical better. Now there's a phrase I didn't expect to type.

Good sound however I find ANC is better on my WF-1000XM5's, maybe because I wear glasses most the time so there may be a small gap between ears and WH-1000XM5's. Convenient to slip them on and off though.

I am very unhappy about this as has the M2 version but they got stolen so bought these as a replacement and am sorry i did there is a whine in the background and whatever it is its makes them unworkable

I bought the headphones from Amazon a bit over a year ago and I love it. It works perfectly and it's light. However, it suddenly happened today that it won't charge, I tried all cables and chargers with no luck. I contacted the customer service and went through the trouble shooting process with no luck. The customer service told me to use a repair service in New York that has terrible review on line and I have to pay for it. It's such a bad experience.

I wanted noise cancelling over ear headphones for a while, so long that the XM4 had been the new ones, with the XM5 release I did comparisons via youtube etc. I purchased direct from Sony with the XM5 in blue, they feel great, the app is good for adjustments to sound and the features, battery life is over a week for me using 3-5 times a day. The sound quality is the best I’ve used, they replaced AKG N60Nc that did me well for many years! I’ve already told others to get these, I’m very glad I did.

I bought this 1 month ago and I really like the features. Plus, the price is reasonable.

Excellent sound quality as usual for this XM series headphone, however I feel there is not much improvement when comparing to XM4 except the comfort level for this headphone. It is definitely a good buy if you does not owned the previous series.

It's good for music listening however using this for meeting and connect. -Teams are not really responsive as need to connect manually every time being idle for quite a time. never had an anc headphone before, after years of research finally decided to get wh-1000xm5. love the sound produced, the bass not too heavy, and the output is balanced.

Terrible product – despite decent sound, there are big problems with these headphones. They simply won’t auto turn off consistently, no matter how much you play around with the settings and user posted workarounds. Very disappointing. Cannot recommend

I bought the product 3 weeks ago. I love the ANC and the weightlessness of the device. But, for the price, the bass is kind of weak and the feel isn't too premium. For the Wh1000-XM6 try to integrate sensory bass or something. I'd also like if the spatial audio was actually built into the headphones. Final notice: please send me a pair of the next headphones (xm6) went it is released.

Great quality of headphones… when they work. I haven’t had them long and the left headphone suddenly stopped working one day after making this horrific crackling noise. Now it is a nightmare trying to get them fixed.

I’ve only just received this product and so far so good. The only issues I have is trying to navigate all the features. Also trying to register the device and getting my free music trial has been a big hassle. Getting through to someone who could help was a mission for those reasons and the fact that it’s taken me at least 6 days to get this far I would give the service a 2/3 .

It has been a month went by which I started to use this headphone. I used it mainly for commuting to/fro office, and to pick up office calls. It has worked amazingly and I had no issues other than sometimes the volume gets auto adjusted when put down and put it back on. I might be able to disable fhis on the settings but I have yet to discover this option. Overall satisfied and happy with it

The sound quality is superb! However, I found it difficult to locate the product reset guide for the headphones at first. I wish it could be included in the app, specifically about how to reset it back to factory settings.

It's worth the money. Lots of cool features and very comfortable. The only thing that I don't like is the head adjustment band. My previous Sony headphones had numbered steps, locking in place. Way more comfortable for quick put on. On these, every time I've to put them on, adjustment is a must.

Listening to music while doing my work now is so much convinient and hassle-free. What i like most is the great features and sound adaptive. Ahhh im in love!

One of the best noise canceling headphones so far at its price. Tunable equalizer made it a better choice than other brands. Although, the software user experience is not as good as Apple Airpods max or Airpods pro.

I bought this about a month ago and i am really satisfied with the product. The sounds is good, not too heavy on head.. Its really suitable for any occasion.

Two months of use a started with a scratchy noise in the right side (its is quite ocassional and annoying). Also previous models were more portable than this one. I would go for Sony WH-1000XM4 instead of Sony WH-1000XM5.

I bought these for my fiancé. He says the overall performance is 4.5, but they were unable to connect to his record player which is also Sony. They were specifically bought for this use.

I have bought this after trying couple of other brands like Sonos ace, Bose qc ultra, AirPods Max. Still with new versions of the other brands didn’t sound better that this. I waited to buy next model xm6. But Finally bought it because they are not releasing this xm6 this year.

I really like this headset because it supports LDAC and both low and high frequencies have met my expectations. And the noise cancellation is very good, even when waiting for a bus on the side of the road it eliminates most of the noise.

They are great but if you have the X4 don't buy them. Not a big difference. They get oily as they touch your skin and a bit uncomfortable on the top of the head if you wear them for more than 1 hours but they still a wonderful headphones.

Bought it a while ago and it’s held up nicely , noise cancelling could be improved and the build quality sometimes feels quite cheap.

I've been using the product for almost a month and I've loved it thus far. The feature where it can switch between being connected to my laptop and my phone depending on which device I'm on has been my most used feature. It switches quite seamlessly too!

These are my first headphones in a long time. I've been looking for very good sounding headphones without breaking the bank. Researching and watching reviews for a couple of weeks, I recognised that these headphones were recommended by many and thought to buy them and hear them myself. The ear pads are very comfortable. The sound quality is amazing. Battery life is amazing and can get a couple of days of battery life depending on how heavy you use them. I recommend these to anyone look for them. Sony you did great job making these.

I have been using the blue version for 1 month and pretty satisfied with it. One little thing (not a deal breaker) about the ANC is it does not cancel off announcements made over a PA system. Somehow I felt that the headset rotates in a wrong direction as the cushion will be facing upwards when worn around the neck. As I am in the tropics, the headset feels hot, otherwise not much problem with it.

As a Sony lover who’s xm4s recently broke I thought I would try an upgrade however these headphones really did not meet anywhere near my expectations , the noise cancelling was horrible like much worse than xm4s but I fixed my headphones so I didn’t need these anymore however I was willing to keep it if it actually felt like an upgrade . Disappointed t

I have use it for one month，it bringt me a good travel for music

I bought this for my long flights to Europe from Asia and it worked very well. Cut out a lot of the engine noise. Much better than my AirPods Pro 2. While wearing it for more than 12 hours can be a little sore for the ears, but it is not that bad as the headphones is very light. The only drawback with the noise canceling is that when any part of the headphone touches parts of the plan (e.g. seat cushion when leaning), the noise canceling doesn't negate the sound arising from the vibrations from the contact.
