Battery pack not charging: Flashing light or no light on battery charger
The solution depends on the status of the battery charger's lamp.
Check the status of the charge lamp on the battery charger to resolve the issue.
Status of the charge lamp | Solution |
---|---|
The lamp is on | The battery is currently charging. Wait until the lamp turns off, which indicates that charging is complete. |
The lamp turns off immediately after it turns on. | Charging is complete. Note: If the lamp turns off right after charging begins, the camera may already be fully charged. Check the remaining battery level on the camera. |
The lamp flashes slowly (intervals of more than 1 second). | A slowly flashing lamp indicates that the charging has stopped because the battery temperature is either too high or too low. Remove the battery pack from the charger and leave both at an ambient temperature of 50ºF to 86ºF (10ºC to 30ºC). Try charging the battery pack again later. Note: If the lamp is flashing slowly, charging will resume when the battery temperature reaches the appropriate range. The lamp will automatically change from flashing to a steady light. |
The lamp flashes quickly (intervals of less than 1 second) or it does not light up. |
