How to prevent a program from loading or starting automatically in Windows 10

Follow these steps to prevent a program from loading or starting automatically when the computer is started.

IMPORTANT: Disabling a startup item may change the way an application functions or disable automated processes.

1. Click the Start button, then in the Search programs and files box, type: System Configuration.
    
2. In the System Configuration window, click the Startup tab.
   
    
3. On the Startup tab, click on Open Task Manager.
   
    
4. In the Task Manager window, select the desired item to prevent it from loading at startup and click the Disable button.
   
    
5. The task will be disabled when you Restart your computer.
