How to connect the HDR-AS15 Action Cam to a mobile device to copy or upload images.

IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check the Applicable Products and Categories section of this article before starting these steps.

If you have not yet downloaded and installed Imaging Edge Mobile (PlayMemories Mobile successor), you need to download the application for free from the application store on your mobile device before continuing with this procedure.

• Software version 2.00 and earlier:
  1. Insert a memory card which contains still images or movies into the camera.
  2. Press the NEXT button to turn on the camera.
  3. Press the NEXT button repeatedly until SEND is displayed.
  4. Press the ENTER button.

     NOTE: The message PREP will be momentarily displayed, followed by the message AWAIT. The Wi-Fi function is now activated and ready to connect with the mobile device.

  5. Connect wirelessly with your mobile device.
     • iOS mobile devices
       1. Select Settings, Wi-Fi, and select the camera.
       2. Enter the password provided on the sticker attached to the operating guide of the camera.

          NOTE: If you cannot find your password, refer to How to check the SSID/password required for Wi-Fi.

       3. Launch Imaging Edge Mobile on your mobile device.
       4. Your mobile device is now connected to the camera and ready to copy or upload images and movies.
     • Android mobile devices
       1. Launch Imaging Edge Mobile on your mobile device and select the camera.
       2. Enter the password provided on the sticker attached to the operating guide of the camera.

          NOTE: If you cannot find your password, refer to How to check the SSID/password required for Wi-Fi.

       3. Your mobile device is now connected to the camera and ready to copy or upload images and movies.
• Software version 3.00 and later:
  1. Insert a memory card which contains still images or movies into the camera.
  2. Press the NEXT button to turn on the camera.
  3. Press the NEXT button repeatedly until MOVIE is displayed.
  4. Press the ENTER button.
  5. Connect wirelessly with your mobile device.
     • iOS mobile devices
       1. Select Settings, Wi-Fi, and select the camera.
       2. Enter the password provided on the sticker attached to the operating guide of the camera.

          NOTE: If you cannot find your password, refer to How to check the SSID/password required for Wi-Fi.

       3. Launch Imaging Edge Mobile on your mobile device.
       4. Your mobile device is now connected to the camera and ready to copy or upload images and movies.
     • Android mobile devices
