The BRAVIA TV is turned on, but the screen is blank and the LED indicator is lighting or blinking.
Depending on the colour and state of the LED, the action to be taken differs.
The LED indicator is off:
Refer to The BRAVIA TV cannot be turned on or the power turns on then turns off by itself.
The red LED is blinking:
Detach devices, such as external HDDs, devices connected to the BRAVIA TV via HDMI, etc. from the BRAVIA TV, then turn on the BRAVIA TV again. If the issue is still unresolved, service may required. Count the number of times the red LED blinks prior to contacting the Sony Contact Center.
The red LED is on:
Unplug the power cord (mains lead), then plug it in again after about two minutes. Check that the BRAVIA TV turns on by pressing the button on the BRAVIA TV.
When the TV cannot be turned on by remote operation, the problem may be caused by the remote, such as battery shortage.
The orange LED is blinking:
The condition is normal. The BRAVIA TV is automatically updating programmes. Wait until the blinking stops and turn on the BRAVIA TV.
The green LED is on:
- Press the button to check that the audio and screen performs normally. No devices may be connected to the selected input.
- Press the ANALOG/DIGITAL button to check if the audio and screen performs normally. An unavailable broadcast may be received.
- Press the PROG button to check if the audio and screen performs normally. An unavailable channel may be selected.
