Why does the [VAIO Action Setup] window or [Read Me] file appear every time I boot up the PC?

Why does the [VAIO Action Setup] window or [Read Me] file appear every time I boot up the PC even though I do not set them in the [StartUp] folder?

Firstly, check if the PC was turned on using the JogDial or Programmable Power Key. If so, the software assigned to the JogDial or Programmable Power Key may appear.

When you turn on your PC using the JogDial and wish to prevent the [VAIO Action Setup] window from displaying, refer to the following steps:

    1. Right-click on [VAIO Action Setup] or [Jog Dial Utility] on the task tray and click [Jog Dial Setup(VAIO Action Setup)] in the menu.
    2. Click the [PPK Setting] tab in the [VAIO Action Setup] window and click the [P] button.
    3. Select [Remove] in the [Select Application] window and click [Current assignment will be deleted]. Then click the [Finish] button.
