The following file formats can be used with the "Digital Voice Editor".
1. DVF file (Digital Voice File/file extension: *.dvf):
The DVF file is a sound file format used in recording messages on the Sony IC recorder ICD-BP100. The sound data is compressed so that the size of the data is relatively small (16kbps (SP mode), 8kbps (LP mode)). The DVF file can be edited and played back on the Digital Voice Editor. It can be added to the IC recorder and played back on the IC recorder.
2. MSV file (Memory Stick Voice file/file extension: *.msv):
The MSV file is a sound file format used in recording messages on the Memory Stick IC recorder ICD-MS1. The sound data is compressed so that the size of the data is relatively small (33kbps (SP mode), 16kbps (LP mode)). The MSV files can be edited and played back on the Sony Memory Stick Voice Editor. The WAV file is a PCM 8kHz/11kHz/16kHz, 8bit/16bit monaural sound file used in recorded sound in standard Windows application software. The WAV file can be played back on Windows software such as the "Sound Recorder" supplied with Windows 98, Windows 2000 or Windows Me. To use the application compatible with a 16 bit WAV file, save the message as a WAV (16 bit) file.
