How to set a password to a Screen Saver and exit the Screen Saver?
Follow the steps below to set a Screen Saver password and exit the Screen Saver in the respective Windows® environment.
A. To set a Screen Saver password in Windows 9* and Windows Me
1. Right-click an open area on the desktop and click Properties.
2. Click the Screen Saver tab.
3. In the Screen Saver box, select a preferred Screen Saver from the pull-down menu and set a waiting time.
4. Select the Password Protected checkbox and click Change. The Change Password dialog box appears.
5. In the New Password text box, enter a password. Re-type the password in the Confirm new password text box.
6. Click OK.
7. When the message The password has been successfully changed. appears, click OK.
Note: The dialog boxes may vary slightly for different Operating Systems.
To exit the screen saver in Windows 9*, Windows Me
1. Press any key on the keyboard when the Screen Saver is running.
2. When the Windows Screen Saver dialog box appears, enter the password and click OK.
B. To set a Screen Saver password in Windows 2000
1. Right-click an open area on the desktop and click Properties.
2. Click the Screen Saver tab.
3. In the Screen Saver box, select a preferred Screen Saver from the pull-down menu and set a waiting time.
4. Select the Password Protected checkbox and click Change.
To exit the Screen Saver in Windows 2000
1. Press any key on the keyboard when the Screen Saver is running.
2. The Unlock Computer dialog box appears.
3. The User name text box will contain the user name that is logged on to the system. Enter the password that is used to log on to Windows.
4. Click OK. The system will exit the Screen Saver.
