Why can't the history records in Internet Explorer be cleared sometimes?

Some history records still remain in Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6.0 sometimes even after using the Clear History function.

If the history of local files remain in the VAIO computer, the Clear History function may not remove the history content.

Note:
This symptom occurs due to the specifications that prevent the deletion of necessary files by mistake.

Please follow the steps below to delete the history of each local file and then carry out the Clear History function.

1. Click History.
2. Click Today.
3. Right-click the selected folder.
* For example, vaio-online.sony.
4. Click Delete.
5. Click Yes.
6. Repeat Steps 3 to 5 for any remaining folders to be removed.
