How to show file extensions?
Follow the steps below to show the extensions of files.
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Appearance and Themes and click Folder Options. The Folder Options dialog box appears.
3. In the Folder Options dialog box, click the View tab.
4. In the Advanced Settings box, deselect the Hide extensions for known file types check box.
5. Click OK.
