Why does an error message occur and Internet Explorer cannot be started?
Err Msg: An error occurred to wininet.dll
This symptom occurs when the hard disk space to save the Internet temporary files (cache) is insufficient.
To resolve this symptom, delete the unnecessary files to increase the free space of the disk with the steps below.
1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. Click the Tools tab and then click Internet Options.
Note: If using Internet Explorer 4.*, click the View tan and then click Internet Options.
3. Click the General tab and click Delete Files....
4. Select the Delete all offline content option if required and click OK
Please follow the steps below to increase the disk space for Temporary Internet Files:
1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. Click the Tools tab and then click Internet Options.
Note: If using Internet Explorer 4.*, click the View tan and then click Internet Options.
3. Click the General tab and then click Settings.
4. Adjust the amount of disk space to be used for Temporary Internet Files Folder and click OK.
