How to access network resources of a domain?
User cannot directly participate in a domain on Windows XP Home Edition.
To use the shared resources, enter a domain name, a user account and password when accessing shared resources on a network for the first time. When the VAIO computer is connected to the network resources (sharing folders and files), the User name and password dialog box appears. Enter the domain name and password.
To enter the domain name, type it in the domain name\user name form or user name@domain name form.
Note:
- User can participate in a domain on Windows XP Professional.
- The user name and password must be registered to Active Directory of Windows 2000 Server or Domain User Manager of Windows NT Server. For more information, please contact the network administrator or domain administrator.
