Can't make a Wi-Fi connection between the camera and the mobile device to transfer images
Refer to the tips and information if you're unable to transfer images from your camera to a mobile device using the Imaging Edge Mobile or Creators' App.
Before you start
- If not completed, install the latest firmware on your camera. Downloads are posted on your model support page.
- Refer to the Which mobile applications does my camera support? article to determine the correct app to download.
- Imaging Edge Mobile: navigate to the Play Store™ or the Apple® App Store® and install the app on your mobile device or the latest app version can be found in the Download section of the Imaging Edge Mobile website.
- Creators' App: visit the Creators' App website to install the app on your mobile device.
- Verify that your mobile device is connected to your Wi-Fi® network.
- Ensure that the Airplane Mode is OFF on your mobile device.

Additional troubleshooting
- Power off your camera and mobile devices:
- If using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) for connection, disconnect the VPN and try using a Wi-Fi network that doesn't utilize VPN.
- If the camera and smartphone are connected to a 5 GHz band Wi-Fi network, change to a 2.4 GHz band network.
- Reset the camera settings and check if the issue is resolved:
- Depending on your camera, reconnect the phone to the mobile device using Imaging Edge Mobile or the Creators' App.
