IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check the Applicable Products and Categories section of this article before starting these steps.

The HDMI output specifications are as follows, depending on the camera and settings you are using:
Note: Depending on the specifications of your device, HDMI output may not be possible. For more details on the output capabilities of your device, refer to the supplied Operating Instructions.

When HD or 4K is set

When the record setting of movies is 8-bit or when the camera does not have the number of bits switched in the record setting:

    • Color space: YCbCr
    • Color sampling: 4:2:2
    • Color depth (bit depth): Y=8-bit, Cb/Cr=8-bit
Note: The camera outputs movies in 8-bit or 10-bit as HDMI. If the camera outputs a movie in 10-bit, the effective data length is 8-bit.

    Or

    • Color space: RGB
    • Color sampling: 4:4:4
    • Color depth (bit depth): R/G/B=8-bit

When the record setting of movies is 10-bit:

    • Color space: YCbCr
    • Color sampling: 4:2:2
    • Color depth (bit depth): Y=10-bit, Cb/Cr=10-bit

    Or

    • Color space: RGB
    • Color sampling: 4:4:4
    • Color depth (bit depth): R/G/B=8-bit

When 8K is set (8K compatible models only)

    • Color space: YCbCr
    • Color sampling: 4:2:0
    • Color depth (bit depth): Y=8-bit, Cb/Cr=8-bit
