What to do if there’s no sound in windows Vista while the VAIO computer resuming back from hibernation or sleep mode?

    • When the computer resumes from sleeping mode, there is a red × on the icon of volume in system tray area.
    • When the computer resumes from hibernation state, it makes no sound, and sometimes the internal modem cannot be used.
    ※ For models with High Definition Audio (HDA) only.

    When a Windows Vista based computer resumes from hibernation or sleeping mode and restarts, the driver of High Definition Audio may not work.
    ※ The drivers that cannot work may be the audio drive, internal modem or etc.


    Above are the known issues confirmed by Microsoft.
