Enabling and disabling Windows Aero function in Windows Vista.

    If Windows Aero function is enabled, VAIO can display pictures with 3D and semi-transparent effects. However, it requires high quality configurations of the computer to enable Windows Aero function. To enable it, please refer to the following information and confirm whether the system configurations of the computer meet the requirements to run Aero.

    1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.


    2. Click Appearance and Personalization.

     

    3. Click Personalization.

     

     

    4. Click Window Color and Appearance.

    The Window Color and Appearance dialog box displays.


    Note:
    Enable Windows Aero function when the following interface appears.

     

    5. Choose Windows Aero in Color scheme, and then click OK.

     

     


      How to disable Aero function?

    1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.


    2. Click Appearance and Personalization.

    3. Click Window Color and Appearance.

     

    4. Click Open classic appearance properties for more color options.


    6. Choose any item other than Windows Aero in Color scheme, and then click OK.
