What to do if settings of hardware accelerator cannot be changed in Windows Vista?

    On the Troubleshoot tab, Change settings is been locked which disallows changes to be made to the settings in hardware accelerator.
    1. Right-click a blank area on the desktop, and then click Personalize.

    2. ClickDisplay Settings.

    3. ClickAdvanced Settings....

    4. ClickTroubleshoot.
      Change settings has been locked, users cannot click it.

      Even if User Account Control has been disabled, user is still unable to change settings in hardware accelerator.

    Your current display driver does not allow changes to be made in hardware acceleration settings.

    Windows Vista Premium icon (approved by Microsoft operating system) belongs to WDDM (Windows Display Driver Model). If user installs display adapter under WDDM standard, the settings in hardware accelerator cannot be changed.
