BIOS Update for “VAIO Personal Computer VPCF11 series and VPCCW2 series”
2010-06-30
Dear Valued Sony VAIO Customers,
Sony has identified a very limited number of VAIO Personal Computer VPCF11 series and VPCCW2 series launched in January 2010, which may, in rare cases, exhibit overheating depending on the usage environment. This is due to inadequacies in the temperature management function and may, at times, result in the deformation of the body of VAIO Personal Computer. If you happen to come into contact with an overheated unit, there is a possibility of being burnt.
If the unit you own is being affected, please update the BIOS to the latest version.
• VPCF11 series
• VPCCW2 series
Note: It is highly recommended that you update the BIOS to the latest version as this will enhance other functions as well.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Your understanding and cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
