How do I find and edit my personal contact information in the Contacts application? (Android 11 or higher)

Where do I find my own contact information, e.g. name and phone number in the Contacts application? / I cannot find ME or myself as a contact in the contact list, why is this? / How do I edit my personal contact information in the Contacts application?

    Solution

    Your personal contact information is stored under Your info in the Contacts application. It is useful when you want to share your contact details with another person, e.g. via SMS, email or Bluetooth®. From Android 8.0 and onwards, your personal contact information is no longer stored as a default contact in the contact list.

    To edit Your info

    Android 12, or Higher

    1.  Find and tap Contacts.
    2.  Tap the profile icon in the upper corner.
    3.  Tap Contacts app settings/ Contacts settings → Your info.
    4.  Input or Edit the desired information.
    5.  When done, tap SAVE.

    Android 11 

    1. Find and tap Contacts.
    2. Tap menu icon (menu icon) → Settings → Your info.
    3. Input or Edit the desired information.
    4. When done, tap SAVE.
