The touchpad of the right main unit doesn't respond (Xperia Ear Duo)

You may experience that the right touchpad of your Xperia Ear Duo doesn't seem to work well or doesn't respond at all.

Try these methods one after the other. Verify whether the problem was solved after each method, before trying the next one.

    • Charge the charging case.
    • Check that there are no objects in the charging case that don't belong there. Then place the right main unit in the charging case, and let it charge for 5 seconds.
    • Check if the LED indicator of the right main unit lights up. If the LED is red, continue charging until the LED turns orange or green.
    • Remove the right main unit from the charging case.
    • If the LED of the right main unit flashes twice in white, the right main unit is on.
    • When sliding your finger along the touchpad, make sure that you move your finger firmly and not too quickly. Do not swipe as you would on a touchscreen.
    • Make sure that you don't tap the touchpad too quickly or too slowly, especially when you double-tap or triple-tap. Try to make each tap more distinct than you would on a touchscreen.
    • If the touchpad still doesn't respond, restart the right main unit. If restarting doesn't solve the problem, perform a factory data reset of the right main unit.
    • If the LED of the right main unit flashes twice in white, the problem should be solved.
