Analyze your ear shape (360 Reality Audio)

    IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check the Applicable Products and Categories section of this article before starting these steps.

    Analyze individual ear shapes in the settings of 360 Reality Audio Setup using the Headphones Connect app. You can experience realistic and immersive sound when you apply the information of analyzed ear shapes to the 360 Reality Audio-compatible app.
    NOTE: You can analyze your ear shapes using compatible Sony products only.

    Analyze your ear shape

    1. Start up the Headphones Connect app and connect the Bluetooth headphones.
    2. Select 360 Reality Audio Setup - Analyze ear shape - ANALYZE.

       
    3. When the message Analyze your ear shape appears, select NEXT.

       
    4. Read the displayed message, and select OK.
       
    5. When the message Take a photo of your left ear appears, select TAKE A PHOTO.


      NOTE: When the confirmation screen for access to the application appears, select ALLOW.
    6. When the message On the next screen, voice guidance will be provided appears, select OK.
    7. Make sure to take a photo with the front of your face fitted inside the frame of the application.
    8. Turn only your neck rightward and take a photo so that the left side of your face is fitted inside the frame of the application.
    9. When the message Your left ear has been successfully captured appears, select NEXT.
    10. Make sure to take a photo with the front of your face fitted inside the frame of the application.
    11. Turn only your neck leftward and take a photo so that the right side of your face is fitted inside the frame of the application. 
    12. When the message Your right ear has been successfully captured appears, select START.

    When the message completed appears, the analysis is completed.
    After you finish analysis of your ear shapes, perform Optimize apps in the next step.
