The Android OS is clunky, it doesn’t turn off automatically even when you set it too, and the connection to my smart speaker just doesn’t work, also I get a popping sound from the speaker when browsing menus, Sony TVs are not great I would say they have dropped in rank to a Sanyo TVs of old, also the manufacturer of the screen very poor, my screen was warped apparently this is normal on OLED as they have a thin bezel…. I will go back to LG

Bought a Bravia XR-77A80J in July 2021 and in Oct 2024 the set does not power up. I contacted Sony support and followed their instructions to try and factory reset the set to no avail. Finally Sony support asked me to contact a local service agent for out of warranty repair. Absolutely appaling that my 20 year old Samsung TVs still work and the $4000 Sony is dead. The TV was plugged into an expensive surge protector and all other devices plugged into that are working fine. Do not buy Sony TVs

This is the second tv I’ve had from Sony , first one lasted 8 months , was replaced in Feb 2024 , gone wrong again , a lot of money for a tv that keeps going wrong .

This TV takes the viewer into another universe reaching heights and parallels beyond imagination and reality. Ever since I purchased this OLED TV my gaming graphics are more than crisp and lifelike almost as if the characters are coming out of the TV. I love this TV and has been great for my money would recommend this to anyone a bit expensive but worth your money.

I bought this TV a while ago and we love it. The 4K picture is lovely. Because it's a smart DEVICE and pretty open ended their are an endless list of things we can view. I looked at more expensive TVs but this fit my needs and I could see a no major benefit spending more.

The picture and sound quality are fantastic on this TV. I bought the 65" version and more than happy

This is the best panel TV I’ve bought. Faultless picture quality and with a sound clarity so good that I ditched my sound bar.

Was a great tv but then black lines have appeared tried to get help from Sony sent multiple photos and videos for Sony to say it’s completely normal

Generally fairly happy with the tv but when some apps such as 'youtube' are returned to after a standby they show areas of the screen with extreme black/red/yellow/blue. Picture attached. Strangely when this is happening netflix and disney+ are not affected by several others I use are!

I bought this TV 18 months ago, and have waited this long to leave a review because in my opinion a review after 1 or 2 weeks is not long enough to establish if there are going to be any durability or quality issues. Well I am happy to report that the TV is as amazingly good today as it was when new. The picture and sound are excellent. In fact the only issue I have had was when ITV-X took over the subscription service from Brit-box; the App did not carry over my subscription and I had to do a factory reset of the TV to force the ITV-X to relaod correctly.

Love it, no negatives that I've seen so far except for one. Every once in a great while the screen will freeze and won't take any input from the controller. Have to unplug it and plug it back in.

I have an LG, Samsung and 2 sonys and the Sony t.v's are the best.

I've owned this TV for two years now. Picture is outstanding. Love watching 4k on it. Can't think of one negative item. Glad I went 77 inches. The size of the TV doesn't look out of place in a medium size family room. Hockey and auto racing are killer on this size Sony.

A total pain in the butt to get Google tv to acquire the internet signal.

I bought this product 2 years ago. A year later i experienced a major problem with the display. We are using a module for the channels and most them are lagging and pixeling while watching.

I’ve owned a lot of televisions, always buying a new one every three or four years. This is the best one yet. I’d say almost faultless picture. After about a year it started glitching as they all do these days, tricky to switch on some days. But I’m still in love with it

Had the set of over 2 years now and it performs well on all modes ( sports- live etc.) found a couple of the set up features annoying as the set is fed through a recorder and decides to shut down thinking there is no signal after 2 hours which needs a prompt from the Sony remote to "re-activate" the set . Cannot fault the picture or the superb sound from such a thin TV . A good purchase

I really like the picture this tv has but if it would pick up over the air antenna tv channels as good as my other tvs I’d definitely give it 5 stars

First the picture is excellent. To get the audio to work with my Sonos system it took a couple days to figure out. HDMI connections must be connected before sound bar and TV are powered up or TV will not operate sound bar. I stream everything and TV needed me to delete HULU after two weeks of use as it would not launch the app. After reinstalling the HULU app it is now operating correctly. Also there is no way to eliminate the annoying beep when changing TV source. While these are annoying if I was not familiar with electronics it would be a deal breaker for most. My former LG did not have these issues but LG chose not to update their operating system which was poor on their part. These.challenges are not what most could deal with.

We love this telly. We have had it for 2 years and are still discovering all the features. We love the picture quality and the sleek design and all the festures. It is easy to use once you have downloaded the manual or watched online. I would recommend setting the update feature to automatic.

Generally good TV but I would say it lacked some apps. The Apps that it came with lacked features example ITVX did not have live broadcast. I have 2 4K Sonys and 2 4K LG G3's. LG ssem to give you more. To get the live broadcast you need to get a Fire Stick.

I bought it more than 2 and a half years ago and I’m still in love with everything. The design. The precision of every detail. Ooo the sound and the display 😍😍 love it. Love the menu. Love the remote even ✨ and for me it’s still the best in class even now!!!

Coming from an LG C1 I must say this tv looks amazing I love it so far. Great great picture quality and really good sound as well. My only complaint tho is that the Bravia core app is useless because I can’t create and account. So as of right now I can’t really enjoy the Sony Bravia app which really sucks

Bought in Oct 22 and quickly started having problems with the EPG for sat and anntenna TV signals. TV very slow to boot up and the EPG was even slower to load and update when switching pages. Considered sending the set back but persevered after several 'Reset to Factory Settings' made some improvements but they were only temporary. Generally the picture quality is good but the EPG has grown increasingly lumpy. The past two months the set has started changing TV channel on it's own, sometimes repeatedly, requiring the set to be turned off at the wall to correct. Then it started turning off for no reason and most times would come back on again for a minute or two before going off again, often multiple times before we gave up and performed the built in software reset. The set was unusable for long periods when we would want to watch it and recently we performed another Back to Factory Default Settings which of course dumps all of the favourite lists, passwords for streaming services etc. The past four days the TV has worked reasonably OK but the EPG is starting to run slowly again. Also during the probems the TV would not always recognise that it was connected to a soundbar via the eArc function and after around 12 months it stopped working with the hard disc via the USB3 connection to record or play videos. The worst software I have experienced on a TV. I will probably see about returning it under the extended warranty and see if that helps in which case I will update my review. Meanwhile I've just bought another set from another manufacturer!

Tv is an excellent item I'm very happy with this product

We,ve had the telly for a couple of month now & its ok. We have tried, in vain, to sort out the glare but it is really bad watching any movies/tv that are filmed in the night, lights, the sun etc make sure that you do not see much, we,ve tried the help, every hue, brilliance etc setting but no real joy, so the lights have to go out & blinds closed if we watch progs etc that are filmed at night!

This is the ultimate in TV viewing. The picture is superb.

TV picture is superb. Would rate higher but the TV listing app keeps freezing meaning we can't watch free to air TV. We need to power cycle the TV to get things working. Bit naff for the money.

Just bought my new Sony bravia TV very impressed great sound easy to work

I payed £1000 for a brand new TV that failed 6 days out of warranty and the retailer says it is beyond economical repair. I babies that tv always fearful of screenburn as it was OLED and wanted at least 10 years out of it. I will not buy a sony product ever again!!!

I buy the tv couple years ago I was happy but not much now because the tv picture quality is terrible now because this Image Retention & Buggy. Google what Retention means on oled sony tv and you see what I talk about

Bought this TV 12 months and 3 days ago. Sony support have wasted my time registering the fault only to tell me to take it to a repair shop. I understand this terrible product was 3 days out of warranty but I’d hoped a company the size of Sony would give a period of grace. I will never buy or recommend Sony again after this experience

I purchased my Tv a year ago... The only think I can't figure is to have the tv switch off when I ask... It goes to do it but stop 🤓... Other than that it's a great product 😍🙌🏾😍

It has a really good pic as you would expect, but the user interface leaves a lot to be desired. I feel much time is wasted trying to find options and features. For example how do you sync the Apple TV app with phone, how to deleted unwanted over-the-air channels. You need a soundbar for the best audio or expect to use CC for mumbled dialouge.

Sometimes it just stops working and I have to RESTART, not only once but many times. Too many settings that sometimes does not stay as I have tried to set it. Needs to be easier to control and do what you want it to.

Bought near 2 years ago, For what ever reason the screen got hot, eventually a vertical line appeared on the screen and ultimately the tv just started turning itself off.

Amazing picture, excellent for gaming, syncs with other products without any hiccups, wireless internet connection has been flawless, zero complaints. Best tv I’ve ever used.

I’ve been wanting one of these and the price dropped low enough for me to make the decision. It’s way to use but seems to glitch some times. Colors are not as vivid as I expected nor as they appeared in the store. But it is better than what I had and I’m enjoying the streaming.

Salesman at Best Buy lied about the Google. I told him clearly no Google. It has caused me nothing but trouble

Picture and sound are better than anything I’ve ever owned.

I bought this about a year ago, and it has been fine for the most part. However, about 10-20 times during that year, the show I am watching goes black while the audio still plays and the menu still works. Sometimes instead of the screen going entirely black, the screen splits in half, playing the same show on each half. Sometimes 99% of the screen goes black while a small portion of the show plays in a line at the top of the screen. Usually turning the TV off for 20-30 minutes fixes it. Tried calling customer support and they only told me turn the TV off and on and do a factory reset, but those only temporarily help.

The blacks are truly black and the colors are crisp and clean. Bought this TV to replace a QLED TV and I was pleasantly surprised at the difference in image quality. and being android TV not locked into a proprietary OS.

Perfect size for my mancave! Will be buying a second for my bedroom!
