Nick Ng
An award-winning travel and documentary photographer based in Kuala Lumpur, whose works have been recognized internationally. He is a two-time winner in the prestigious Sony World Photography Awards, and his works are exhibited and published locally and internationally. His love for photography started by chance when he purchased his first camera for his dental practice in 2008, and it quickly became a deep passion for him.
His love for travel and people photography lets him go deeper into the perspectives of the people he meet, and the surroundings that mould the characters of the inhabitants. He believes that to have good photos, one must connect deeply to the people. After all, photography has, and always will be, about the people.
His philosophy in life is to Live It as One Can Best Live Life, as one is given a chance in this lifetime to cherish the world as one sees it.
"I see myself not purely as a photographer, but as a connection between the images portrayed and the audience that views them. Photography is my chosen medium to be that bridge, allowing the beauty in our world to reach out to others."
Nick continues his passion as best as he can, bringing the life he sees into still moments that give a silent flutter to the humanity of the world we live in, be it the rural rugged environment or the slick modern city.
Photography is all about walking. It's about looking for things, exploring, and approaching your subject. This is what photography is to me. It's not about standing still and waiting for something to come to you. Things don't come to you. You have to go and seek things out.
I use the Sony RX1R II as a companion camera on top of my Sony A7 Series, so there are two cameras that I bring out with me.
The standard 35mm lens attached to the 42-megapixel body, makes it a very powerful camera to be used as a companion or even as a stand-alone camera.

I usually use the Alpha series for work, but to walk around and take pictures - street photography - I think the RX100 V is perfect. I actually own every iteration up to this point - it's great and I don't think I'll stop.
Sony RX100 V?
I really like the EVF, it's something that you can shoot in bright sunlight and not have to worry about reflections and glare.
It also personally puts me back into a very old school style of shooting, where you're connecting with your subjects through the viewfinder.
The best thing is the size. It's very small, it's unobtrusive and you can get into places where people would be uncomfortable if you brought a big camera out.
The low light is also great. I don't usually like to shoot with flash, so having a sensor that gets the images that I want even when the light is not optimal, that's a huge thing as well.
The autofocus is also fast and doesn't hunt, so I can just set the area that I want to shoot, focus on my subject, and get the picture that I want.
Tommy
A passionate lifestyle photographer and a coffee-lover, Tommy was a Communication Arts and Creative Advertising graduate, whose love for photography grew after he completed his education. With a wide variety of shooting skills, he is currently the photographer and video producer of Baanjob Productions and also teaches digital photography.
I decided to be a photographer while I was still a university student in Bangkok. It was an interest that kept growing on me as I pored over textbooks and exams. Everywhere I looked, I saw places, people and things just waiting to be photographed.
Great photographs have the ability to stop time, taking you back to that very scene.
These priceless, fleeting moments can only be captured with a camera, and that to me, is the beauty of photography.
Being a lifestyle photographer, I take all kinds of photos – everywhere I go, anything I see, and everything I do.
Hoang The Nhiem
Hoang The Nhiem is a professional photographer specializing in landscapes and daily life. He started his professional photography career since 1995. Known as the King of Landscape, Mr Nheim is one of the most famous landscape and street life photographers in Vietnam. He was also the brand ambassador for Sony Alpha Vietnam for several years, and he inspires people about photography.
Having traveled to every attractively natural places in my country, as well as many other countries in the world, Sony's full frame camera has always given me highest quality images. However, since RX10IV/RX100V compact camera introduced, I have just fully accomplished the dream of capturing any moment in the ordinary life during my endless beautiful images chasing journey.
Photography always tells the truth, and captures the necessary moments of life.
I really love 2 themes of photography: the first is landscape, and the second is capturing people as they go about their daily activities.
My advice to those who are passionate about photography is to keep going further. Start by observing and feeling the beauty, then by learning the techniques to capture them.
