Ayananka would have been a doctor or an interior designer had it not been for a chance encounter with the renowned Director-DoP Rajiv Menon in 1996. Ayananka's debut big-screen project was JP Dutta’s Umrao Jaan at the age of 24, which was the springboard to hundreds of ad and feature films, including the likes of Tashan, Kites, Kick, Dostana, SOTY and his most recent work with Aparna Sen.
