Why aren't visualizations displayed on Windows Media Player 7?
Please check the following items if visualizations are not displayed.
# Is the skin that can display visualizations being used?
If part of the skin such as "Classic" is used, visualizations will not be displayed. You should use the skin that can display visualizations or change the settings to [Full mode].
# Is [Show Visualizations] selected?
If [Show Visualizations] is not selected, visualizations will not be displayed even if you use the skin that can show visualizations or change the settings to [Full mode]. Select [Show Visualizations] with reference to the following procedure:
--Procedure--
1) Click [Start], point to [Programs], and then click [Windows Media Player].
2) Click the [View] menu, and then click [Now Playing Tools], [Show Visualizations].
# Is the [Digital Playback] check box selected?
If the [Digital Playback] check box is cleared, visualizations may not be displayed sometimes. Check to see if the [Digital Playback] check box is selected with reference to the following procedure:
--Procedure--
1) Click [Start], point to [Programs], and then click [Windows Media Player].
2) Click the [Tools] menu and click the [Options] box. The [Options] dialog box appears.
3) Click the [CD Audio] tab and select the [Digital Playback] check box in the [Playback Settings] box.
4) Click [OK] to close the [Options] dialog box.
# Is a MIDI file being played back?
Since MIDI files contain only descriptive information about music and does not include actual sound data, visualizations are not displayed. If visualizations are not displayed, check if the file you playback is a MIDI file or not.
