Why can't files/documents from Microsoft® Office program be saved to CD media?
Err Msg: Cannot save (file name)
The folder is marked as Read Only when trying to save a file or document directly to CD media.
This is due to the specifications of Microsoft® Office programs. Existing files or documents are required to be saved to the hard disk drive before writing them to CD-R/RW media.
Note:
For programs that are pre-installed with Windows® XP, such as Memo Pad, as the files are stored in a temporary folder (staging area) as an imaging file for writing to CD-R/RW, user can directly save the file to CD media.
