Does Windows XP support MS-DOS?

* MS-DOS boot disk cannot be created.
* VAIO computer cannot start in the MS-DOS mode.
* Program/software written for MS-DOS does not work.
* Software does not operate in the command prompt mode.

Sony does not support or guarantee normal operation of the VAIO computer other than the pre-installed operating system.

Note: MS-DOS is not included as one of the software package in Windows XP pre-installed VAIO computers.

Sony does not recommend the use of software and peripheral devices that require MS-DOS operating system, nor provide users with the MS-DOS boot disk.

Note: The command prompt in Windows XP is not in a real MS-DOS mode.
